Slip Slope Strap

Today was my first day back at work. I packed far too many books as usual in the hope that I'll get some time to prepare some work for next week. I arrived at school early enough to catch up with a few staff members while sitting on my desk. Mistake! Just when I was about to get up, there was a sudden crack and the table top moved. Ah shit.. I put my drink bottle on my side and it rolled by itself towards the side that I was sitting on. Damnit!

The morning was filled with being talked at. I thought it'd be only for 45 minutes but it ended up being for 2 hours. I was falling asleep and struggled to stay awake since I decided to watch more "Once upon a Time" till 2 am. Finally morning tea was served and I had my fill of cake.. lots and lots of cake.. At the end of the break, there ended up being extra left over so I wrapped it up and put it in the fridge for later.

Our faculty then had its faculty meeting. I thought *maybe* we weren't going to have a long one but it ended up going longer than I expected. hmm... It ended just before lunch time which meant even less time for me to get some work ready. We moved over to the tables and everyone had a lunchy chat/catch up. I ended up talking to the Literacy rep and she asked what my plans were regarding my plan to move home. I told her about my new plan and she was surprised yet supportive. She gave me a bunch of ideas that would help me to possibly stay in the same pay bracket as I am in now while being able to execute my plan. Just have to figure out how and when I'm going to do it..

After lunch I got a few requests from the new staff members for login accounts to the network so I had to do a few errands before I'd even get a chance to sit down. After completing the requests, I visited my classroom to check if anything had changed. Nothing had, except the chairs were still stacked up. I grabbed what I needed and ended up spending the next 40 minutes cleaning up my desk and sorting folders. By the time I was done, it was time for the Federation meeting.. ugh...

So I got nothing done today. I had intentions to do work when I got home but I was stressing out over my car. It's rattling a little more than it usually does. The rattling sounds and vibrating feeling reminds me of when I busted my tire in Paramatta and had to drive down James Ruse drive AND Parramatta Road with a popped tire. I think it might be the tires since I re-filled them after going grocery shopping and it possibly made it worse. I tried calling the mechanic near my place but I just got the answering machine so I'll try again tomorrow.

I was pretty much exhausted after all that so I just sat in my chair until 7pm when I decided to make dinner. By the time I'd finished cooking and eating, it was 8.30pm. Everything on tv was boring and I'd already watched everything on my computer so I decided to re-make the camera strap I planned to make with the stuff my brother paid for during the break. Took about 2.5 hours to finish and I think it looks pretty good. I'd forgotten to put my business tag on it so I had to unstitch part of it to slip it in place. Turned out to a good thing since that part wasn't stitched properly.

I've put extra padding on the inside and a supporting strap so that it doesn't stretch under the weight of a DSLR camera. The vinyl is re-inforced with extra stitching though there's a part that I didn't stitch and may stretch so I might fix that. Stitching the vinyl was tricky because it stuck to the machine.. must be an easier way to guide it through the machine.. hmm... Anyway.. Going to post the camera strap to my bother during the week. There's a little bit more material so I might make another and sell it. Though I have other designs that I want to try using my inkjet printer and the fabric material. We'll see.. I have a heap of school work that I need to get done before I can play around.. blegh....

Anyway.. I'd better crash otherwise I'll continue to mess up my sleeping patterns.. *yawn*
