Cheeky Children

Today was my niece's (Kathyrn) Christening. When we arrived at the church my her older sister, Maddy, waved happily from the pews so I went over to her side and greeted my relatives on the way over. My lil bro was one of God Parents so he stood out the front with the other sponsors while I sat with my cheeky niece and nephew. For most of the mass they sat in the pew with me while helping me take photos and then they disappeared half way. A little while towards the end, then came back and realised they'd missed the most important bit of the ceremony - pouring holy water on her Kathryn's head. Ahh well. After the official photos we went back to their house where there was plenty to eat.

My God son, Cooper, is part of the same family and he's become a bit of a cheeky and slightly aggressive kid. He was celebrating his 2nd birthday today even though his birthday is on the 30th Dec. Watching him walk around is pretty funny. He has the most angriest look on his face most of the time and getting a smile of him takes quite a trick.

He also has a knack of having some pretty dangerous hugs when it comes to other kids. He'll go in to hug another child but as he does, he'll pull them in towards him thus resulting in losing balance and they both topple over. The other child cries while he stands up angrily wanting to try for another hug but the crying child wants nothing to do with it. He means well but he's just a bit too rough. He'll also go pushing and swinging his arms around and hit your legs. It's not overly painful but it can be dangerous. His mum (my cousin) was telling us how they went to a day care center and Cooper was going around pushing kids. A random lady was watching and yelling "Who does this kid belong to? He's pushing kids over!" while my cousin pretended to ignore her and Cooper. Haha! Then they went to a shopping mall and Cooper started hitting kids with his wide arm clenched fists.. Once again a random woman said "Whose kid is this?! He's hitting kids!" My cousin ignored her and Cooper again.. xD So now Cooper is on House Arrest.. no going out for him. They tried putting him in a harness but he just takes off and drags you along with him. Even though he's a crazy kid, he'll still let me give him hugs and he'll hug me back, which is still awesome..

His older brother Lachlan (4 yrs old) is a happier child. He'll always smile and tell you storied while he slurs his words together. Its tricky to understand him but he's a pretty good kid. HIs sister, Maddy (7? years old) is a talkative handful but she's always interesting to watch and play with.

I wonder how Kathryn will turn out. Love those kids.. they're my favourite nieces and nephews.. especially because they actually know my name and want to play with me. That is the most awesome thing about them crazy kids.. ^^,
